The other day we built a small set in our studio to shoot interior design photography of some wall coverings for one of our clients – Colour & Design – a commercial wall covering producer. Sets are never simple, first you need the designer to come up with the overall look and then we figure out how to make it work. For the construction, I wanted to keep it simple, so we used Gator board for the walls. The wall covering was mounted on the boards and set into place with the props. Lighting is also tricky, you have to make the scene look as natural as possible. Soft shadows and high lights to create some depth to the overall scene is a must. In the end, the shoot was successful. Let us know what you think.
