Art of Rush
Back in January of this year, BP imaging was commissioned by Battlefield Graphics in Burlington to copy/scan several art pieces created by Hugh Syme for his new book the “Art of Rush”. The art pieces were a collection of over 40 years of creative work for the album covers that Hugh designed for Rush albums.
BP imaging was provided with a variety of pieces including both small and large illustrations, transparencies, acetates and overlays. The challenge was to reproduce all of the supplied items and create colour balanced high resolution files for print. Some of the acetates and overlays were elements of the final artwork and were later combined to create a finished piece in the book.
The finished book is a masterpiece in itself with high quality stock, varnishes, embosses and overlays and was officially launched for sale May 29th, 2015.
Anvil Roadcase Limited Edition
Limited to 100 copies, this deluxe limited edition was sold as a numbered and signed by all 3 members of Rush & Hugh Syme. The book came in a hand-crafted road case designed by Anvil approx. 15″ x 15″ x 3″ in size and will be enclosed in a custom slipcase. Within hours of the launch they were all sold.
Limited Special Edition
Limited to 250 copies, the hardcover book was numbered and signed by all 3 members of the band and artist Hugh Syme, enclosed in a custom slipcase. These were also sold out shortly after the official launch.
