If you know me then you probably know that one of my passions is cars and studio car photography. I love to work on them, I like to take them apart and even more I like to make them better! Well I thought that now I should start to photograph them. To this extent I have been working on a little project, one that will make shooting cars much more fun and a lot easier.
The biggest part of this project was the rather significant modifications to the studio, and the biggest modification being the construction and installation of a 10′ x 24′ soft box for our photography studio. This baby has 8 heads and can hold 4 power packs, which makes it great for an instant sun tan. It was not the easiest project we have ever done and had to get some help from some pretty smart people for it, even an engineer. It took a lot of designing and even more building but it actually works!!
It’s a bit new to us so now I get the fun job of learning exactly how to perfect shooting with it. Shouldn’t take to long! Here are some pictures of the construction and also a few test shots that I have taken with it now that it is all installed and ready to be played with. I will have some final shots for you soon, but soon will be in at least 2 weeks since I am on vacation!
